Longshotz Winter League 2025 Player Guide

Overview

• Format: 10× 18-hole rounds using Stableford (Net) → Top 12 advance to a live, net stroke-play final.

• Order of Merit: Weekly finishes earn points toward a cumulative leaderboard (like FedEx Cup).

• Divisions: Men’s & Ladies. Same courses and conditions weekly; tee boxes differ by division.

• Play window: Each round must be completed Monday–Sunday (by 11:00 pm).

• Groups: 1–4 players. Estimate ~1 hr per player for 18 holes.

• Make-up rules: No retroactive rounds. You may play ahead if you’ll miss a week.

• Play 2 rounds: Up to 2 attempts per week are allowed for round of the week. Best points total will count.

• Long drive & Closest to the pin competitions weekly, prizes following completion of the league

• For private events, accept the email invite and log in with your profile.

Booking Tips

• Reserve at least 1 week in advance.

• Long-term bookings available with punch cards.

Order of Merit Points

• 1–100 players: Winner = 100 pts, 2nd = 99, etc.

• 101–200 players: Winner = 200 pts.

• 201–300 players: Winner = 300 pts.

• … continues in increments up to 10,000 players = 10,000 pts.

Stableford Scoring (Net)

• Eagle = 4 pts

• Birdie = 3 pts

• Par = 2 pts

• Bogey = 1 pt

• Double Bogey or worse = 0 pts

Tie-Break Sequence

1. Highest Stableford round score

2. Lowest handicap

3. Back 9 → Last 6 → Last 3 → 18th hole

4. Front 9 → Holes 4–9 → Holes 7–9 → 9th hole

5. If still tied → Prize shared

Fees

• League fee: $50/player

• Simulator rates: Standard Longshotz rates apply ($42 per sim hour).

  • Final (Top 12): Free

• Punch cards: 10-hour card = $70 savings.

• Week 7: Nov 17–Nov 23 — Old Works Golf Club

• Week 8: Nov 24–Nov 30 — Cabot Citrus Farms - Karoo

• Week 9: Dec 1–Dec 7 — The Royal Montreal Golf Club

• Week 10: Dec 8–Dec 14 — Taiheiyo Club Gotemba Course

• Final: TBD (Top 12 live playoff)

League Rules

Playing

1. Missed read: Replay shot without penalty.

2. Gimmes: Putts inside 8.0 ft auto-conceded. (≥8.1 ft must be holed.)

3. OB: Select “Re-hit.”

4. No mulligans unless staff-approved for tech issues.

Attendance

• Miss >2 regular-season weeks = playoff ineligibility.

• You may play ahead for vacations/holidays; no make-ups after a week closes.

Player Conduct

1. Respect partners, staff, and customers. One warning → removal if unresolved. Reinstatement is at management’s discretion.

2. Equipment damage caused irresponsibly = full replacement cost billed.

3. Responsible drinking permitted; staff can call a taxi if needed.

Simulator Issues

• Notify staff if shots aren’t registering.

• If system fails mid-round and cannot be moved → round replayed later at no charge.
